FORENSIC CAREERS BEGIN HERE
WELCOME TO THE CALIFORNIA SCHOOL OF FORENSIC STUDIES
At the California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS), we strive to provide students
with high-quality education that combines not only classroom learning but real-world
practice. Many graduates of our clinical programs go on to become licensed psychologists,
working with law enforcement, or working on forensic-related issues in private practice.
Others apply their expertise in academia or toward informing public policy.
At CSFS, we offer both the PhD and PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology. Students who choose to pursue the PhD (Fresno Campus only) will follow a 5-year
track that includes 3 years of hands-on practicum training. The PhD program also
prepares students to sit for the clinical licensure exam. Those choosing the PsyD
program (Fresno, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Sacramento campuses) will follow a 4
year curriculum, which includes 2 years of practicum training.
In a field where it is important to understand people’s backgrounds and cultures, CSFS provides students with many opportunities to increase their knowledge of this ever-growing field. Students will have the opportunity to work with experienced faculty, who come from backgrounds such as law enforcement, forensic assessment, criminal profiling, neuropsychology and many others.
We invite you to learn more about CSFS and to join our graduates who are applying their skills and knowledge to make a difference in our world.
